- Collaborated on reformatting product packaging designs and user manuals in new languages for international markets. Cut the time to produce a user manual in a new translation from about 2 hours to 10 minutes by automating the reformatting that different character counts require.
- Developed new product lineup concepts and designs for final engineering. Cut the time to produce line-art designs for new products, while raising their quality, by switching from hand-drawing multiple perspectives in Illustrator to rendering SVG line art in any perspective from my own 3D models with Blender's Freestyle.
- Produced step-by-step instructional and product demo videos end to end: wrote the scripts, shot and edited the videos, built the 3D animations in Blender and presented on camera.
- Intern Lighting & FX ArtistAnimation Libation Studios, LLC
- Rebuilt and optimized the temp lighting setups in Unreal Engine 5 for two scenes of an unreleased game and TV series, which made the mood more consistent and the scenes render faster.
- Lit the series' cinematic shots in Sequencer and set each scene's exposure, color grading and fog with post-process volumes, then revised the lighting from review notes.
- Worked in a hybrid game and TV pipeline, where the same real-time lighting had to hold up in both cinematic shots and interactive play.
- 3D RiggerUSC Games
- Built the rigs in Maya for the factory machines that players interact with throughout Smoke Break!, planning each machine's motion range from its concept art and building the custom controllers with feedback from the animation team.
- Added squash-and-stretch deformation controls so the animators could push a more stylized performance.
- Tested the rig and animation imports in Unity to make sure everything worked on a technical level before the environment artist placed the machines in the game.
- Shipped Smoke Break! on Steam and the Epic Games Store in May 2025 as one of 52 people across the whole studio; the game won Game of the Year and 1st Place Design at the 2025 SAGE Awards.
